We
believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God, our Saviour. We believe
that through Him, we can have life in all its fullness and that through
his death on the cross and His resurrection, our sins (wrong doings) are
forgiven.
The Bible has much to say about how Jesus
brings salvation to this world. Romans 3:23 says "all have sinned
and fallen short of the glory of God". But the good news is that
God knows and understands and He sent Jesus into the world for everyone.
John 3:16 states "God loved the world so much that he gave his only
Son, Jesus Christ, that whoever believes in him shall not perish, but
shall have eternal life." That promise is available to everyone.
Jonny
writes: For many years, I had a head knowledge
about who Jesus was, what he did and his message of salvation. But I
didn't accept it for myself. It was for other people. Then God showed me
clearly that it was for me and that I had to follow Him. It was life
changing. The head knowledge turned to a full acceptance that Jesus
Christ died for me personally because of the things I had done. Over the
years, God continues to change me. Sometimes I resist, but I can see
that God has been guiding me over the years. I praise God that He never
left me, even when I turned my back on Him, even when I fall down. I
know that He wants me to share the truth about Jesus and I praise God
that He has allowed me to use drama to fulfill that task.
If
there is one thing that I have learnt, it is to never put off making a
decision to follow Jesus as your personal Saviour. You might think that
you have plenty of time, but you never know what might happen tomorrow.
If
you've never made a decision to follow Jesus, I urge you to find a Bible
and read one of the gospels, Matthew, Mark, Luke or John, or find a
Christian and ask them how you can find out more. Don't delay.
